Sophia Grace is an artist in the fields of circus, dance, and visual arts. Working primarily in Germany, she has built her career on a sense of curiosity and intrepidity. As a performer she is always searching for embodiment, choreographic detail, and connection.

Studying as a child under the magnificent Terry Beeman in Los Angeles, she developed a practice of intentional, precise, and expressive movement. Beeman’s mentorship was integral to her development as an artist, and she credits much of her success today to her early years working with him.

As a child and young adult Sophia also took ballet, jazz, and hip hop in Los Angeles at the School of Dance and Music, The Edge, and Millenium Dance Complex. She also received circus coaching notably from Joe Pinzon in Los Angeles and Christine Wunderlich in Berlin.

She has worked as a circus artist and dancer for companies and theaters such as PALAZZO (Nurnberg, Hamburg, Stuttgart), Voltaire (Las Vegas), Chamaleon Theater (Berlin), and AIDA Cruises (Hamburg). She worked for several years as an aerial hoop artist, but has since moved her main focus to tissue and intends to keep it as her primary discipline.

A career highlight was her work in Las Vegas in 2024 as a heels dancer and aerialist for the show Belle de Nuit directed by Manon Savary and Marc Zaffuto, choreographed by Ashley Wallen. She collaborated with Ashley Wallen to create the iconic Camera Girl act that was a highlight of the show. As part of her time at Voltaire, she also background danced for Kylie Minogue, Christina Aguilera, and Jason Derulo. She had the opportunity to work with choreographer Jeri Slaughter for the creation of Christina Aguilera’s residency, and was selected to have a short solo playing a devil character in Aguilera’s show.

As an artist Sophia is interested in opportunities and collaborations that push her limits and open new directions. She has been developing her character work while working for the German dinner show PALAZZO, and has an interest in continuing that research. She also has a strong interest in opportunities to work in contemporary dance and theater.
